JCB Goes Back To The Future for 70th Anniversary

Retro-chic backhoe celebrates seven decades of digging

February 12, 2016

JCB is going back to the future to celebrate its 70th anniversary with a limited edition version of the iconic digger that propelled the company to success.

The first Platinum Limited Edition 3CX backhoes are in production with a distinctive nod to its predecessor, the JCB 3CX Mark III model built in1977, featuring red buckets, white cabs, and red wheels.

Only 70 machines will be produced globally in this iconic color scheme and each machine will be delivered with a 70th anniversary commemorative pack.

The Platinum Limited Edition 3CX will be powered by JCB’s 109 hp Ecomax engine complete with autoshift torquelock transmission - and the operator will be powered by the in-cab coffee maker.
