JCB Appoints CEO Designate

Graeme Macdonald will succeed Alan Blake as CEO of JCB following current CEO Alan Blake’s retirement at the end of 2013.

Graeme Macdonald will succeed Alan Blake as CEO of JCB following current CEO Alan Blake’s retirement at the end of 2013.

Macdonald became CEO designate on June 1, 12013.

Since his appointment as CEO, Blake has presided over the company’s return to sales and production growth against a backdrop of continued economic uncertainty around the world. Blake will remain as a senior adviser and board member of the company.

Macdonald has held a variety of senior roles during his 16 years at JCB and was most recently the company’s chief operating officer. He was previously managing director of the company’s backhoe loader business unit, based at the world headquarters in Rocester, U.K. He also held the position of president of JCB Inc., based at JCB’s North American headquarters in Savannah, Ga.
