Responding to a market request, Ingersoll Rand has revised the XHP1170FCAT air compressor to fit into a smaller footprint, without decreasing the power of the machine. Providing a free air delivery of 1,170 cubic feet per minute, the new XHP1170FCAT is less than 13 feet in length, compared to the 15 feet 4 inches of the previous version. The more compact size provides additional trailer space for other equipment. Ingersoll Rand claims to now provide the highest power density per square foot within the smallest footprint available for this size class of air compressor.

Ingersoll Rand's new PowerSource mobile generators reduce noise levels, and many key models come in smaller packages than the units they replace. An exclusive feature of the voltage selector shuts down the generator if the operator attempts to switch voltage while it is running. Thirteen models of PowerSource mobile generators range from 10 to 456 kilowatts.
