In his first act, Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner halted the planning and development of some of the state’s major interstate construction projects, including the planned 47-mile Illiana Expressway between Illinois and Indiana, according to The Daily Journal.

In his first act, Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner halted the planning and development of some of the state’s major interstate construction projects, including the planned 47-mile Illiana Expressway between Illinois and Indiana, according to The Daily Journal.

The governor plans to review the costs and benefits of these projects before resuming work.
