The widening of Texas Interstate 35E through Denton, Texas, has been delayed until summer 2019, six months after the planned date.
Texas Department of Transportation contractor OHL submitted a revised schedule last week, with an anticipated completion day in July of next year. The team will build two new overpasses as part of the widening project. The overpass at Brinker Road will allow northbound motorists to bypass the loop by exiting earlier.
The northbound overpass at Brinker is expected to be finished by Jan. 4. The southbound overpass is now expected to be completed May 7. The project is set to cost $26.6 million.
