House Passes $300 Billion Highway Bill

A six-year transportation funding bill valued at more than $300 billion passed the House with a vote of 363-64, reports Reuters.

The measure, which includes reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank, will be subject to final provisions and approval by the Senate.

The measure authorizes federal spending on road, bridge and rail transit infrastructure projects for six years and provides guaranteed funding for three years, about $339 billion.
