Hoosier Heartland Corridor

September 28, 2010

Lafayette, IN – Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels led local, state and federal officials in a ceremonial groundbreaking, marking the start of construction on a new State Road 25 from Lafayette to Logansport. The new SR 25 will be a 31-mile, four-lane, limited access divided highway.

The $450-million Hoosier Heartland corridor will provide greater and safer access from Lafayette to Fort Wayne, where it will link to the U.S. 24 segment known as the Fort-to-Port corridor. When the final segment of U.S. 24 in Ohio is completed, central Indiana will have direct access to Toledo.
