With the Champion 10,000 model, Hobart Welding Products offers what it describes as "a two-for-the- price-of-one deal." Every buyer gets a generator and welder for a price some contractors would pay for a generator alone. Powered by a 20-horsepower twin-cylinder Kohler or 22-horsepower Subaru overhead valve engine, the Champion 10,000 welder/generator produces 10,000 watts of peak auxiliary power, and a 210-amp, constant-current, DC-weld output at 60-percent duty cycle. While not welding, the unit provides 9,500 watts of continuous power from four 120-volt receptacles and one 120/240-volt receptacle. All receptacles feature push-button reset circuit breakers. Auxiliary power is not available while welding.
