Hitachi Zaxis Dash-3 excavatorHaving rolled out six Zaxis Dash-3 excavator upgrades in 2006, Hitachi continues the process early in 2007 with the new ZX160LC-3, ZX200LC-3 and ZX225USLC-3 models. In addition to increasing operating weight by more than 2,400 pounds, the ZX160LC-3 offers 39 percent more hydraulic flow thanks to the HIOS III hydraulic system used in all Dash-3 models. This leads to 20-percent faster arm roll-in and 15-percent faster boom lowering.
