The North American Steel Sheet Piling Association (NASSPA) has named Jeffrey H. Greenwald, P.E., CAE, as its first full-time executive director.
NASSPA is committed to becoming the voice of the hot rolled steel sheet piling industry and establishing programs for education, training, marketing, and technical information.
Greenwald's extensive experience includes serving as vice-president of engineering and product development for the National Stone Sand & Gravel Association, heading the National Concrete Masonry Association's research and development laboratory, and working both as a structural engineer and field engineer.
Greenwald is a registered professional engineer in Virginia. He holds a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Maine. He also holds a certificate in nonprofit organization management from the Institute for Organizational Management, and is a certified association executive (CAE). Greenwald is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Association Executives, and ASTM. He has authored numerous journal articles and was awarded the ASTM Alan H. Yorkdale Memorial Award for 2004 and 2005.
