The maximum digging depth of the XL 3300 III is 18 feet, 5 inches, while the boom reach at groundline is extended to 27 feet, 3 inches.

It's powered by a Detroit Diesel Mercedes 172 horsepower engine, with high-pressure, load-sensing hydraulics that deliver 13,300 lb. of breakout force. The rear counterweight design results in a rear swing of 7 feet, 6 inches.
