Gov. Pat Quinn announced that $5.3 million from the Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program could be used to repair municipal, township and county infrastructure in southern Illinois.

Gov. Pat Quinn announced that $5.3 million from the Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program could be used to repair municipal, township and county infrastructure in southern Illinois.

“These investments will be used to improve roads in communities throughout southern Illinois,” Gov. Quinn said. “By investing in local transportation, we are creating jobs and improving quality of life for families throughout the area.”

Projects will be selected and managed locally and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will provide oversight.
