Fleet Management Employee Arrested for Theft

According to sheriff’s investigators, Corey Richard, 36, a former fleet management employee of Acension Parish in Gonzales, La., was arrested for stealing approximately 2,007 gal of fuel during June using parish fuel cards. When the investigation is complete, the total cost of the theft could be as much as $50,000.

Richards was booked on counts of identity theft, unauthorized use of access card as theft, and theft greater than $1,500, according to Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Tony Bacala.
