Equipment Stolen from Jackson County, MS, Utility Sites

September 28, 2010

A 2004 Caterpillar D4GLGP bulldozer stolen in Hurley, Miss., belonged to a contractor hired by the Jackson County Utility Authority to create water and sewer projects, according to Sheriff Mike Byrd. Mike Sears said he doubted that the crimes were related to public opposition to the work.

"I think it's just someone who saw an opportunity," Sears said.
