DuPont, Wilmington, Del., and Alberty Additives, Baton Rouge, La., have joined the Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP), a St. Louis, Mo.-based international association dedicated to the development, production and use of modified asphalts that extend the life of highway pavements.

AMAP informs owners, contractors and specifiers about the benefits of modified asphalt binders for bituminous pavements. The organization also serves as a consolidated voice on issues about modified asphalt, communicates advancements in the field and promotes standardization of asphalt binder testing procedures.

AMAP Executive Director Bob Berkley said, "We are excited to add Alberty Additives and DuPont to our diverse list of members. Their memberships will greatly enhance AMAP's presence in the asphalt industry. We look forward to working with them to promote the use of modified asphalts.
