Drone and time-lapse video footage capture the completed 26-mile London Crossrail, the city’s new subway system.
The tunneling of the $16.7 billion cross-London rail service was completed after eight giant boring machines made their final breakthrough. Work started in 2009, but construction on the tunnels didn't begin until 2012 and trains won’t be passing through until 2018.
The tunnels measure 130ft in length and are made up of 200,000 concrete tunnel segments, each weighing 3.4 tons.
