It's called an excavator-tool carrier, but the Ditch Witch XT1600 is designed to perform the duties of three different machine types: a backhoe-loader, mini-excavator and compact track loader. With 260-degree coverage, the excavator end of this rubber-tracked hybrid compares to a dedicated excavator in the 3- to 4-metric-ton class. With hydraulic flow of 26 gpm, at up to 3,000 pounds per square inch, the tool-carrier end accepts most skid-steer attachments.
