Developer Revamps Buildings

Real Development Corp. began work on June 16 to renovate the lobby of the former SC Telcom Building, which has been renamed the Wichita Executive Centre. The Minneapolis-based company also continued plans to revamp the façade of seven downtown Wichita buildings using a city incentives program. In September, Real Development will convert Exchange Place into 144 apartment units with most rents priced at less than $1,000 a month. This project includes a 250-space parking garage east of the building.

The Minneapolis-based company also continued plans to revamp the façade of seven downtown Wichita buildings using a city incentives program. In September, Real Development will convert Exchange Place into 144 apartment units with most rents priced at less than $1,000 a month. This project includes a 250-space parking garage east of the building. The company plans to spend up to $25 million on the conversion and parking garage and is waiting for city council approval for construction.
