Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin toured the manufacturing facilities of Curry Supply Company.
The visit was part of Davin’s ‘Jobs That Pay’ tour, highlighting Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposals to reinvigorate the manufacturing sector and recapitalize various economic development tools.
Curry Supply President Jason Ritchey led the tour along with other company managers.
Secretary Davin was shown how tanks were created from raw steel, welded, inspected, assembled, painted and tested, all on site. He learned that as an ISO certified manufacturing facility, quality inspections are conducted at every manufacturing step.
Joining Secretary Davin on the tour were representatives of the Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission and Marty Marasco, president/CEO of the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation.
