Dems: Committee on "Last 20 Percent" of Highway Bill Issues

May 23, 2012

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., said the conference committee working on the surface transportation bill has resolved 80 percent of the issues between the House and Senate, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who said he's "cautiously optimistic" a bill can follow.

The Hill's Transportation Blog also reports that Reid did not mention a contentious issue that has divided the House and Senate in the past: the Keystone XL pipeline.
