CumminsThe Centinel Advanced Engine Oil Management System is now available through Cummins distributors as an aftermarket kit for the QSX, QSK19, QSK45 and QSK60 engines rated between 350 and 3,000 horsepower. Centinel integrates with Cummins electronics, allowing the engine to blend lube from the oil pan with fuel before combustion. It adjusts oil burn rate based on engine load. Fresh oil from reserve tanks continuously replenishes oil in the sump. Cummins says the system, which had been available only as a new-engine option, can extend oil-change intervals to as much as 4,000 hours.
