Crane Lifts Nearly 200-Year-Old Schooner Unearthed During Condo Construction

June 5, 2015

Crews moved the remains of a 19th-century schooner that was unearthed during construction of a condominium tower in Toronto earlier this year.

Concord Adex, the condo development company that unearthed the ship's wooden skeleton, worked with archaeologists to attempt to preserve the ship.

The nearly 200-year-old schooner was lifted out of the ground and will later undergo preservation and be displayed at Fork York National Historic Site.
