A heating and air-conditioning unit detached from a crane and fell 30 stories to the ground in Manhattan, leaving ten people injured, reports The New York Times

The crane was lifting the equipment to a mechanical room on the roof of an office building. The crane dropped the unit, which scraped the building on its way down.

The New York City Fire Department said two construction workers suffered minor injuries, described as lacerations, from the falling debris.
