Construction Sector Adds 29,000 in February

Nonfarm payrolls were up 295,000 in February, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This surpassed economists' expectations of between 235,000 and 240,000. The construction sector added 29,000 jobs, while architectural and engineering services added 5,000. The unemployment rate decreased from 5.7 percent to 5.5 percent.

January payrolls were revised down to 239,000.
