Construction Equipment Shipments Up 7% in June

Construction equipment shipments from U.S. factories continue to expand, but the growth pace slowed to a 7 percent annual pace from about a 50 percent annual pace in the previous six quarters, according to RCD. Manufacturers may have over-estimated sales because their inventories have risen relative to sales, pushing up their inventory/sales ratio from about the target level to slightly high.
