Construction Equipment magazine’s Frank Raczon, senior editor, was honored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors with a 2014 Gold AZBEE Regional Award for Editorial Excellence of a Product Section/Department for Construction Equipment’s “Buying File.” The series of three “Buying File” features ran from September through November 2013, and went on to win a Silver National AZBEE Award in the same category.
This is the second consecutive year that Raczon has received prestigious award recognition. In 2013, Raczon won a Robert F. Boger Award, presented by the Construction Writers Association, in the Blogs category and received an Honorable Mention in the Boger Award Features category. He is the only writer in the Association’s 55-year history to win both a marketing communications award and a journalism award.
Raczon has been a construction industry writer for more than 25 years and also has received awards from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, the Business Marketing Association, BtoB magazine, and the Quad Cities Advertising Federation.
Founded in 1949, Construction Equipment magazine, published by SGC Horizon/ Scranton Gillette Communications, has won 110 editorial awards over the past 31 years.
“Construction Equipment has a proud history of editorial excellence,” says Editorial Director Rod Sutton. “Our mission is to help subscribers improve their performance by providing information, such as that in ‘Buying File,’ that enables them to manage their fleets in ways that deliver optimum financial benefits to their organizations.”
