The first phase of construction began on the Grand Sky Development Park in North Dakota, the first UAS aviation park in the U.S., reports ENR.

Site improvements to the 217-acre park total $25 million and include construction of security fencing, access roads and culverts.

The park selected VirtualAirBoss by SmartC2 Inc. for the flight management system. SmartC2 is involved in a multi-phase project with NASA to develop an unmanned-aircraft traffic-control operation, according to ENR
