The construction sector added 6,000 jobs in July as the nation's unemployment rate remained at 5.3 percent, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Rising home sales helped boost the construction jobs, and manufacturers added another 15,000 employees, according to an analysis by ABC News. In total, the economy added some 215,000 jobs in July.
