CNG Pickup Conversion Recouped in 40K Miles

August 3, 2012

Hammer Construction, Norman, Okla., has used state tax credits and rebates from its gas supplier to convert eight of its 55 pickup trucks to CNG. The company’s VP-operations, Robby Moore, told that the $5,000 investment would be recovered in fuel savings after 40,000 miles.

Hammer plans to convert more trucks, and it has trained two employees for the task, which takes two days.
