A meticulously painted and detailed 1994 Peterbilt 379 tractor took the top prize—Best of Show—at the SuperRigs Truck Beauty Contest, sponsored by Shell Oil Co. and its Rotella-T heavy-duty engine oil. Tony and Robin Bartels own the handsome Pete, which pulls an equally handsome 2002 Fontaine lowbed trailer.

The late-June competition at the Bosselman Travel Center in Grand Island, Neb., drew more than 90 rigs from 24 states and three provinces in Canada. All were working trucks and needed state DOT or ICC numbers to enter the contest.
