Caterpillar S41 Smartphone

Feb. 1, 2018

The Cat S41, successor to the Cat S40, runs full Android capabilities and is specifically engineered for use in harsh environments that place smartphones at risk of damage. The S41’s 5000mAh battery provides up to 38 hours 3G talk time, and as much as 44 days standby. The Battery Share feature allows the phone to serve as a power bank for charging other devices and accessories through an included USB connector, while reserving a predetermined power level for the phone, based on an in-app slider.

In addition to its extended battery capabilities, the Cat S41 was designed to address user-requested features, including “drop proof” durability (passes a 5-foot-9-inch drop test from all orientations) and a large (5-inch) scratch-resistant screen (Corning Gorilla Glass 5) that can be used wet—and with gloves). The phone also is water-resistant to 6.5 feet, for up to an hour, and is dust-resistant. The Cat S41 also has a camera that can be used underwater.

Other specs include:

  • 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, expandable storage (microSD up to 2TB)
  • MediaTek octa-core 2.3GHz chipset
  • 13MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus with PDAF, 8MP front camera
  • LTE Cat 6, VoLTE, VoWiFi
  • Programmable short-cut key, useful for push-to-talk
  • SOS (“Lone Worker” app)
  • Curated apps and content catalog

The Cat S41 smartphone has an MSRP of $449 and is available to order online at www.catphones.com, as well as at leading retailers including Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, eBay, The Home Depot, and B&H.
