Caterpillar Finding Willing Workers in Midwest

Caterpillar is finding a willing workforce in Muncie, Ind., according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, where former union workers are applying for jobs in the company's nonunion locomotive shop.

Manufacturing has suffered in Indiana. The report suggests that a combination of lowered wage expectations among workers and aggressive state efforts to lure business has companies such as Caterpillar ramping up efforts.
