Equipment Type

Caterpillar D-Series Track Loaders

December 01, 2007

Replacing C Series predecessors, the 953D and 963D track loaders feature more powerful, fuel-efficient engines; a new load-sensing hydraulics implement system and electro-hydraulic implement controls; and hydrostatic dual closed loop drive systems with independent power and control of each track. According to Cat, the implement pump only provides the required power to the system leaving more power to the tracks for heavy applications. Loaders are powered by Tier 3 Cat C6.6 ACERT engines that deliver 148 and 189 horsepower, respectively. The new cab is sealed and pressurized for a clean, comfortable environment; and it features an ergonomic, fully adjustable air-suspension seat. Estimated list price range: $220,000 to $300,000.
