Replacing the Cat 365C, the 374D excavator produces 18 percent more power with its 476-horse-power Cat C15 ACERT engine. A 10-percent increase in hydraulic flow and hydraulic power combine with larger digging arm and bucket cylinders to yield 17 percent higher digging forces, says Cat. The machines also feature a new line of buckets as well as many undercarriage improvements. Cabs offer adjustable joystick controls, and response preferences can be made via the monitor.
