With the B2 Series, Caterpillar has rolled out six updated skid-steer models ranging from 1,400 to 2,500 pounds in rated operating capacities. Three vertical-lift machines (232B2, 242B2 and 252B2) are joined by three radial-lift models (216B2, 226B2 and 236B2), the largest of which boasts an 11.4-percent increase in rated operating capacity compared to its B-Series predecessor. A high-flow hydraulics option is available on the 226B2 and 242B2 models. In addition to the skid-steers, the B2 Series includes two “multi-terrain” track loader models, the 247B2 and 257B2 boasting rated operating capacities of 2,050 and 2,500 pounds, respectively; the latter is also available with a high-flow option.
