The new Case CX17B is the company’s replacement for its model CX14. The new model has 15.15 net horsepower (a 30-percent boost compared with its predecessor’s horsepower). Enhanced specifications for the new model include a 40-percent improvement in swing speed (now 8.6 rpm), 19-percent more bucket force (now 3,417 pounds), 16 percent more arm force (now 2,248 pounds) and a 10-percent gain in over-the-side lift capacity (now 1,380 pounds capacity).

Enhanced specifications for the new model include a 40-percent improvement in swing speed (now 8.6 rpm), 19-percent more bucket force (now 3,417 pounds), 16 percent more arm force (now 2,248 pounds) and a 10-percent gain in over-the-side lift capacity (now 1,380 pounds capacity). The CX17B also features a retractable undercarriage, allowing the machine to pass through a 39-inch opening, and boom that is nearly 6 inches longer than that of its predecessor, resulting in a larger working envelope. A new three-post ROPS is designed to make access to the operator’s station easier and to enhance visibility.
