California Freeway Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Strikes Power Towers

A tractor-trailor being used to construct a new freeway overpass struck Pacific Gas & Electric towers, sending the power lines over the highway and shutting down traffic on U.S. Highway 101, reports NBC Bay Area.

All southbound and northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 were closed until emergency crews operating heavy equipment arrived at the scene. Highway 101 is now open to traffic, according to NBC Bay Area.

No injuries were reported.
