Seneca, KS— Kansas Department of Transportation officials have announced a bridge replacement project in Nemaha County. County Road 116 will be closed to all traffic throughout the duration of the project, and crews will replace an existing 20-foot-wide, single-lane bridge — located 1 mile of the K-63/U.S. 36 junction and 0.5-mile east on County Road 116 — with a 30-foot-wide, two-lane concrete bridge.
Midwest Construction Co. is the primary contractor for the project with a total contract cost of $505,505. Scheduled completion date for the entire project is late March 2009.
