Bobcat 329

Sept. 28, 2010
According to Bobcat, the new 329 is aimed at the contractor looking for an "entry-level" compact excavator with conventional tail swing. This new machine has a maximum digging depth of 10 feet 2 inches and a maximum reach of 16 feet at ground level. The hydraulic system, says Bobcat, features a dual-outlet piston pump that enables the 329 to maintain constant digging forces and to sense (and react to) hydraulic loads for efficient utilization of the engine's torque curve. The new 7,098-pound excavator uses a 27.7-horsepower, liquid-cooled diesel engine, is equipped with a two-speed travel system (1.2 and 1.8 mph), has a 14-gpm auxiliary-hydraulic flow and is approved for using hydraulic breakers and hydraulic clamps in demolition applications.
