Dubbed 'BNA Vision', the Metro Nashville Airport Authority says the $1.2 billion Nashville International Airport renovation will be the most expensive in the city's history and will improve every aspect a traveler's experience arriving and departing from Music City.
The projects are funded through the airport’s existing revenue streams, which come from bond sales, federal and state aviation grants, parking and concessions revenue and rental fees paid through the airline agreements. The Airport Authority has an annual budget of about $119 million.
The greater Nashville area is expected to grow to more than 2.5 million pewople by 2035 and BNA's passenger traffic will increase up to 67 percent.
