Biodiesel Tax Credits Come to an End

Makers of biodiesel are no longer receiving a federal tax credit that provided them with $1 for every gallon bought by fleets of construction equipment, trucks, buses and other vehicles.

The tax credit, which expired at the beginning of the year, provided biodiesel producers with a steady source of revenue, and several of them now say they will have to close up shop without the subsidy.
