Baker's Recognized for Safety Excellence

September 28, 2010

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) have named Baker’s Construction Services as a winner of the Construction Safety and Excellence Award. Baker’s placed first place in the state of Tennessee in the Heavy Division with between 100-thousand and 300-thousand hours worked.

The AGC award recognizes companies that have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss prevention programs. Winners are chosen through an extensive application in which the company details its safety program and injury and illness frequency rate for the year.

The application process also considers the projects on which the company worked in the past year. Baker’s detailed their re-grading work on the Bristol Motor Speedway track, which was completed under a strict deadline between the March and August NASCAR races.

Baker’s Construction Services is now eligible for the National Construction Safety and Excellence Award, which will be presented in March.
