Average Equipment Values Even Out

Orderly liquidation values leveled off in December, increasing 0.2 percent from November after dropping 4.8 percent since July. Largest declines were in high-reach forklifts: 3.1 percent for the month; 4.9 percent for six months. Backhoe-loader values picked up in December, selling at an average of 65.

Rouse Asset Services reported that orderly liquidation values leveled off in December, increasing 0.2 percent from November after dropping 4.8 percent since July. Largest declines were in high-reach forklifts: 3.1 percent for the month; 4.9 percent for six months.

Backhoe-loader values picked up in December, selling at an average of 65.2 percent of replacement cost and an average age of 53 months.
