More than 3,600 asphalt, highway maintenance and traffic safety industry professionals attended the World of Asphalt 2007 Show and Conference, held March 19–22 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. Some 222 exhibitors used 67,250 net square feet of exhibit space to display the latest equipment, technologies, products, and services.

New exhibit pavilions highlighted traffic safety products and information technology resources, and joined testing equipment and "new product" pavilions, providing additional opportunities for attendees to compare and discuss product advances and capabilities with leading industry suppliers.

World of Asphalt 2007 international attendees came from more than 50 countries worldwide. The show hosted three delegations of Russian visitors, including one from that country's Ministry of Transportation.

World of Asphalt co-owners are the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, National Asphalt Pavement Association, and the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association. The next World of Asphalt will be held March 9–12, 2009, in Orlando, Fla.
