ASTM Cost Estimate Classification System Released

Sept. 28, 2010

ASTM International Standard E 2516 Classification for Cost Estimate Classification System provides a logical, consistent and objective methodology for the classification of cost estimates for a building project. Because details frequently change during the course of designing, with each detail affecting cost, the standard allows project team members to differentiate between each different cost estimate resulting from these changes. Using E 2516 will ensure that the validity of all cost estimates made along the way can be easily understood by everyone on the construction team. ASTM International standards are available for purchase from Customer Service at (610) 832-9585 or at www.astm.org.

To assist service technicians in maintaining TIREMAAX® automatic tire inflation systems, Hendrickson published TIREMAAX Troubleshooting, a free interactive CD. Serving as a visual tool to illustrate troubleshooting techniques described in various technical publications, the CD is available on Hendrickson's website at www.hendrickson-intl.com in Flash format. TIREMAAX automatic tire inflation system detects and responds to low tire pressure by directing air from the trailer air tank to one or more tires when the inflation pressure dips below a pre-set level. The system signals the operator to situations or circumstances requiring attention with blink codes.
