June 17, 2015

New contractors, Rudolph & Sletten and Holder Construction, are taking over operations for Apple Campus 2 construction, according to <re/code> News.

They are replacing DPR/Skanska, after Apple terminated the joint venture partnership from the project. Skanska said in a statement that the lost work would cost it approximately $800 million.

The Cupertino city council approved the Apple Campus 2 project, which calls for 2.8 million square feet of office space and other amenities in October 2013. Most of the 175-acre construction site is on the former Hewlett-Packard campus near I-280, according to <re/code> News.
