Alpine

Ideal for mining applications, five models of transverse cutting units — from 24 to 160 horsepower — fit excavators from 2 to 55 tons. They are powered by the excavator's auxiliary hydraulic circuit. The cutters are suited for excavation and trenching, scaling/grinding, demolition, underwater operation and other jobs. Alpine says the rotary cutters, compared to hydraulic hammers, produce narrower trenches requiring less fill, safe trench walls, less vibration, less noise, spoil that is suitable for backfill, and a faster production in most material.
