AFL-CIO Investment Venture Brings Jobs To Chicago Workers

Wolf Point East, the second high-rise of the $1 billion mega-development where the north and south branches the Chicago River meet near the Merchandise Mart, will be 66 stories tall, 750-foot tall mixed-use skyscraper designed Pelli Clarke Pelli architects, with an estimated total development costs of approximately $360 million .

This is the second joint venture the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust (BIT) and Houston developer Hines Interests and Kennedy family scion Christopher G. Kennedy have undertaken . “We are extremely excited about the opportunity once again build in such a great city,” said Mike Stotz, president of the AFL-CIO Investment Trust Corporation. "Wolf Point East will not only be another beautiful addition to Chicago’s skyline, but it shows what can be done when labor invests in itself.”
