AEMP will provide a unique learning opportunity for the recently released Telematics Standard during Conexpo. The session is offered to software developers, IT professionals and asset-management professionals and will occur Monday, March 21, 2011, from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The seminar, The AEMP Telematics Data Standard and Its Implications for Mixed-Fleet Management, will cover the Telematics Standard, available resources, and the practical implications of its use for managing mixed fleets of off-road equipment.
The session will continue with a developers’ panel discussion on the Standard, where the audience will be invited to interact with panel members who wrote the Standard, including a Q&A session. The panel will be available to answer technical questions regarding specific data elements, as well as the process of accessing the web service and retrieving fleet data. If an IT manager or developer has questions regarding the nuts & bolts of the standard they are encouraged to bring them to this unique educational opportunity.
The new telematics standard, which was developed by AEMP in cooperation with key equipment manufacturers, standardizes the delivery of key data to machine owners. It is being hailed as a significant step forward in efforts to meet asset manager’s reporting needs for mixed fleets of heavy equipment.
The seminar is part of AEMP’s 29th Annual Management Conference being held in conjunction with ConExpo. Registrants for the AEMP conference will have access to this session as part of registration. Those wishing to attend the seminar only may do so by registering online for $149. The session occurs the day before Conexpo opens on Tuesday, March 22.
