The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) announced its 2017-18 Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The board will be sworn in on Monday, March 6, at AEMP’s 35th Management Conference and Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
Don Gengelbach, CEM, will now lead as AEMP's Chairman of the Board. Gengelbach has been a member of AEMP since 2005 and earned the Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) designation in 2011. His accomplishments with AEM include leading the Technology Committee to develop the AEMP Telematics Standard (version 2), now known as ISO15143-3. Gengelbach also directed the AEMP University Committee's transition to a new learning management system, and has held board positions including director of mining, vice chair, and chair-elect.
“We will continue the path laid out by AEMP’s strategic plan that focuses on safety, technology, and work force development, along with more emphasis on developing the work force," said Gengelbach. Education will continue to be the driving force behind AEMP's efforts and Gengelbach thanked his predecessor, John Meese, for his leadership last year.
